Let's talk about these pregnancy dreams.

They are CRAZY!! For the first 10ish weeks, I wasn't having any out of the ordinary dreams; well dreams are weird anyway...but the past few weeks have been, well, interesting to say the least.

A couple of weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night from a very pornographic dream. It was very inappropriate for me, like; I can't even dicuss it. I felt guilty for having it. Even though it involved hubbs, I still felt like a freak for even thinking those things.

Then we get to the good stuff. The baby dreams. Which I have been waiting to have ever since I got pregnant. Last week, I dreamt we went to the big ultrasound & they told us we were having a girl! EEEE! I woke up & unfortunately realized I was dreaming.

Then 2 nights ago, I dreamt that we brought our baby girl home from the hospital. I went into her room in the middle of the night, nursed her; changed her diaper & I kept calling her Claire. Which is what we are naming our baby if it is a girl. How weird is that?!? Then next morning, I went into her room & she was standing in her crib talking to me, but she was only 2 days old. What the hell? That was creepy.

But I do wonder if these dreams really do mean something. Like, maybe I AM having a girl??!

Did any of you have dreams about what gender your baby was & it turned out to be true?

  1. I had dreams that I was having a little boy but we were having a little girl, haha. Then with my second baby I kept having dreams of a little girl because the husband and I wanted another girl. We had a boy:) oh well!

    You never know!

  3. You should read Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy. My midwife recommend it and its so funny and talks about dreams and just about everything else.

Anyways, no babe yet so I dont know if dreams relate to reality but I kind of hope they do.

  5. All my dreams throughout my pregnancy were about a little blonde haired blue eyed girl! That little girl is here now and is 13 months old! My husband is Italian and has darker hair and its all boys in his family sooo maybe pregnancy dreams do mean something!

  6. hehe- this post definitely makes me chuckle- reminds me a LOT of the VERY inappropriate dream that I had of Johnny Depp (dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow) around my 14th week. The ONLY dream I've ever had about a baby, turned out to prove true! I dreamt we had a little boy- and lo and behold? Our SON is due in Augsut! The US tech swore by that old wive's tale.. now I really can't wait to find out what you're having!!! :)

  7. Hey, Ok, so you don't know me.... I did go to jr. high with your husband which is how I came across your blog... So yes I am a blog stoker but I promise I am not a creepy one! Anyways, I love reading your blog because I am pregnent and I serious read your blog and just laugh cause I go through the same crazy things too.... Such as this whole dream thing.... I had some of the exact same dreams, however I would always dream it was a boy and we just found out it is a girl. However, I was hoping for a girl so I would always wake up so glad it was a dream cause I was hoping for a girl! Anyways, I hope you don't mind me reading your blog! Tell Dallas i said Hi! you guys are such a couple little couple... soon to be little family!

  8. Old wives tales are fun! The only one that proved true for me was the Chinese Gender Predictor on the bump. Either way you are going to have the time of your life :)

  11. I didn't dream about a girl or boy, and I've got a boy, but I definitely had a very inappropriate sexual dream during the early months, and I was SO embarrassed. I never told my husband about it!

  12. I had a dream (after we already knew the gender mind you) that we were at the hospital, I was not drugged and pushing out a baby...it ended up being a boy...we freaked out because we didnt have a name picked out (which in reality we did, so it was weird that my dream suggested otherwise). Then the doctor told me to get ready to push...we questioned him, he said, you knew you were having twins right...DUH, judging my our shock, we obviously didnt know...I pushed and had a girl...again, we paniced...apparently we were competely unprepared in my dream, lol, no names for either baby. I have had some graphic and gorey dreams...it weird how pregnancy will do that to your subconcious. I have had inappropriate sex dreams too Rachel...I was embaressed and wouldnt give my hubby details too. LOL.

  14. I never had any baby dreams that specified a sex. But I wonder if it does mean anything??? I mean really I bet it does.
I knew I was having a boy. I just knew it, no real reason why, I just felt it. Maybe this is your sign that its a girl.

  18. If you're having girl dreams you are most likely carrying a sweet baby girl. I had the same thing, but I told myself that I would have a girl. The night before my u/s I was having dreams that it was a boy, and driving to the OB I cried because I literally thought that the dream was right. I was devastated. While they were doing the anatomy scan they went over the "region" and I saw the three lines, I knew it was a girl. I started crying before she said the words, "it's a girl!".

In my opinion, most mommy's know what they are having. I am going to go with you're having a girl! I cannot wait to find out from you!!
