Ok now onto the fun stuff. I know it is entirely too early to be nesting, but I had a small taste of it yesterday. This weekend, I stayed at my parents' house while they were in Florida to take care of my brother & the doggies; this meant that D lived as a bachelor for 3 days & when I returned home yesterday evening, you could definitely tell that's just how he lived... beer bottles on the counter, plates everywhere, laundry strewn all over the bedroom... I about had a stroke when I walked in. You see, when I'm not around to keep hubby on his toes; he doesn't feel the need to do anything & it's quite irritating, but I'm training him & he's slowly learning. So you can bet that I shoved my little cesar's pizza & breadsticks down my throat & began cleaning like a mad woman. Laundry, bathrooms, vacuuming, (hubbs so kindly did the dishes) and then after all that was through, I whipped out this bad boy:
It's my new love folks, my Haan steam mop/anything you want it to clean. We just got it in the mail from Best Buy on Friday & I couldn't wait to assemble this sucker & clean my dirt infested tile that just screamed "cleaaaannnn meeeee". I cleaned every little crevice of my tile. including the grout which I scrubbed with an attachment the mop came with. It took me 2 hours to clean the small area of tile & it looks ah-mazing.
Granted, today I feel as though I have carpel tunnel & an 80 yr old woman's back; but hey, I have a clean floor.
ohhh....I might have to look into getting that!!
ReplyDeleteI just checked out your blog today and read your post from Friday. Right around that time I rented a doppler from storkradio.com. I just got the cheap one, I think it was $25 a month. It was fun to use at home and I loved the peace of mind between appointments. I rented it until the baby started kicking regularly.
ReplyDeleteYou are definately getting your energy back way sooner than I did (and Im a neat freak [wouldnt go as far as OCD though] lol). But thats awesome, and I will definately have to look into that steamcleaner thing...sounds AMAZING! ;)
ReplyDeleteThat looks really cool. Can you use it on all types of flooring? Wow, I may have to get one! Slow down with the cleaning, LOL. You will be soo exhausted towards the end, then you will become a mad woman cleaning while 9 months pregnant. Crazy what your body tells you to do :)
ReplyDeleteHey, that mop thing looks amazing, what is it? Also, saw your twitter post...my head is killing me today as well. Blahhh.
ReplyDeleteI totally LOLed at the last "carpel tunnel" part! That steamer looks freakin awesome... I want one!
ReplyDeleteSo that mop works really good on wood floors too? I'm so sick of the things we use to clean. I got one of those hard floor vacuums and I just don't think it works. We use a broom and a swiffer. That's all.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got your house all cleaned up. You think your sore now wait until your allot bigger. Your hubby's going to have to do allot more than the dishes.
I loved the carpel tunnel old lady comment also. Too funny!
My energy is starting to come back too! Isn't it the best feeling ever?! My husband is exactly the same way, which is why our house is a disaster. If I don't do it, it doesn't get done! I know how you feel :)
