 Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Strike ONE against this pregnant lady.

Don't ask me what the hell I was thinking, but I laid out on my back porch today for approx. 20 minutes. 3 hours later, my chest & shoulders are as red as tomatoes. I didn't know until today that sunburns are no-no's for pregnant women. Shit. My poor baby- I hope she's ok in there.

Not only have I been crying & worried for the last 2 hours, but I look ridiculous with bright red skin.

Oh & I have a zit/cyst thing the size of Texas on my cheek.

Strike one. Lesson learned

And for your viewing pleasure....
see that planet on my (no-make-up) face & my tomato red chest?
sexay.

  1. Dont worry about it, I sat out for twenty minutes a few weeks ago and got sunburnt - I had no idea your skin was more sensitive when you were pregnant!

  3. oh no! I'm sorry (about the burn and the cyst). I know you can't use a lot of acne products but if you can use one with sulphur like proactiv's refiining mask overnight, that might do the trick!

  4. Oh no, bless your heart. Don't worry I'm sure the baby is ok. I was told that pregnant skin is much more sensitive to the sun Oopsy! Sorry this happened to you. I hope you feel better soon, Ala vera (Is that how you spell that?).

  5. The only real bad thing about the sun during pregnancy is that it dries out your skin and can cause stretch marks. Lotion up and drink lots of water honey. Other wise your little one is just fine in there. As for the acne...pregnancy hormones are so well known for that, and its so unwelcome. LOL

  6. I am sure baby girl is just fine!! You on the other hand look like you hurt! I swear this works...take some tea bags and steep for just a minute or so. Then squeeze out excess water and put in freezer until cool. Then place on burn, takes red & sting out! Your skin literally will heat the teabags up! Also rubbing vinegar after the teabags is a miracle worker for taking the red out!

  14. Oh, that sucks! As if you aren't uncomfortable enough when you are prego! Hope it heals fast.
Try a little tea tree oil on the planet...since you can't use most zip medication when you are pregnant, tea tree oil was my lifesaver!
