I {heart} After-Christmas Sales

Thank you, Target & Fisher Price; for making your toys uber affordable so that I can buy my girl some new toys!

I went to the evil Target on Monday (I call it evil because Target gets at least $65 of my bank account each week, I'm addicted, I tell you) & I'm glad I did, because they were having some killer after-Christmas close-out deals on toys!

My sweet grandpa gave us each $50.00 for Christmas, including Claire & I knew I wanted to get her a few new toys for when she gets a little older with the money. But, I knew I wouldn't get much, considering they are all so expensive! Well, look what I got at Target for a little over $50.00:

Fisher Price Ride n' Stride Dino
Originally $39.99
Purchased for $24.98
she obviously won't be able to use this for a few months,
but I've heard great reviews on it & couldn't pass up the deal!

Fisher Price Stacking Toy
$5.99
Not on sale, but it was 6 bucks. It's a classic & she'll love it when she learns to sit on her own
Fisher Price Two-Tune T.V.
Originally $29.95
Purchased for $19.98
Another classic. How flippin' cute is this?! I was with my co-worker while at Target, and she found this pushed to the very back of the shelf. There was only one of them! & I had one just like this when I was little. I loved it. & Claire does, too! I showed it to her when I got home & she stared & reached for it for the longest time.
So, I walked away with 3 awesome toys for essentially the price of the first toy!

Is it bad that I get a little adrenaline rush/high when I find awesome deals??! I'm such a dork.

On a random note, I just signed up yesterday for Amazon Moms. And I was thinking of starting to buy my diapers on there, since they are pretty cheap compared to store prices. Have any of you moms bought diapers online? What's your experience with it? Is it worth it? Or should I just continue to buy them at the store with a coupon? I think I'm the odd man out & we LOVE Pamper's Baby Dry. I've heard so many people say they hate them! But I can't get away from them!

& Don't forget, if you have any questions for me; go here & ask! I'll be beginning to answer them on Friday!

  1. You should try Target's Up & Up brand diapers. I was a loyal Pampers user until I came across these. I think they are great, plus they are sooo much cheaper and super cute!

  4. I use Diapers.com, we are cloth diapering now that we are actually out of the hospital but I like to keep some disposable diapers on hand for sitters who dont feel comfortable with cloth and for travel. Check them out they have a 30% back program going on where you get 30% back in your diapers.com account to be used for future purchases.

  6. We used pampers baby dry after swaddlers. Once he grew out of swaddlers we were all for baby dry. We also like the pampers overnights too. We just switched to pull ups as we are pt now. I always found it cheaper to buy at bru in store 41 bucks a box, rewards members get a free box when you buy 10.

  7. Ok I never comment but I just have to say that I LOVE Amazon Mom and I LOVE Pampers baby dry. You get the diapers super-fast (2 days usually, free shipping!!) and you automatically become a member of Amazon Prime for free, then if you continue to spend $25 a month on baby products they keep extending your membership an additional month. I have it until April so far and I can use it on non-baby stuff too. When I was pregnant I got suckered into subscribing to Parents Magazine ($12 for a year) and in every magazine there is 20% coupon to use on Amazon Diapers AND you can combine with the 30% they offer. What I do is the place my order and when I receive it I cancel the subscribe and save so I can keep getting the full discount. Anyway sorry for the novel, I just get so excited, yesterday I got a big box of baby dry’s (228) for $21+ free shipping, can’t beat that!

  8. Yes DO IT! Amazon Mom is great, and I love being prime. I actually not only buy diapers, but I get diaper genie refills, bath milk, night time diapers and a whole mess of other stuff on the subscribe and save plan. Wipes I buy at Costco because I think those are the best.

  9. ooh, target is all sorts of dangerous! Can't help but spend too much money there. i have bought diapers from diapers.com before and it was super easy and the same kind of prices...but then no excuse for target. :)

  11. I'm right with you on the Pampers Baby Dry...I l-o-v-e them! I've never had a problem with them. I switched to them when Pampers intruduced the Dry-Max. I hated it, but loved the Pampers brand. So, I switched from Cruisers. Plus, with the Baby Dry, you get more diaps for your $$$. I have never nought them online, so no help there... Good luck!

  13. We buy in bulk at a store called BJ's (the diapers we buy are the BJ's brand), its like a Sams or Costco. I have heard Costco diapers are great. Then when my son got bigger and started sleeping all night and peeing out of his diaper (around 9 months or so) I started to buy some huggies overnights just for night time. I am anti-pampers now, I have a friend whose baby got a chemical burn from pampers, she is currently in a lawsuit with them.

  14. I went to Target today and you are right, the toys were seriously marked down. We got some birthday presents for about half off. Woohoo for sales!

I LOVE amazon mom. I use it every chance I can! I might have to start ordering diapers. Sounds easy enough. I hate lugging the huge box of diapers out of my cart and into the car while Addie screams. Fun stuff :S

  18. I am a member of Amazon moms and had a great experience ordering diapers through them! I am also a HUGE Diapers.com fan. Free 2 day shipping on orders of $49 or more, and soap.com, their sister site, is a great way for me to stock up on other household products at the same time. Either way, I would recommend! :)
